The stunning Art Deco style prints by French Fashion illustrator Marthe Romme, originally created using the 'Pochoir' technique, (meaning 'stencil' in French) was a popular way to create prints in France in the 20th Century, championed by artists such as Matisse and Picasso amongst others. This un-mechanised process of producing imagery is usually used to create relatively simple art pieces but Romme has used this technique to create highly intricate illustrations.
