The Group of Seven, also known as the Algonquin School, was a group of Canadian landscape painters from 1920 to 1933, originally consisting of Franklin Carmichael (1890-1945), Lawren Harris (1885-1970), A. Y. Jackson (1882-1974), Frank Johnston (1888-1949), Arthur Lismer (1885-1969), J. E. H. MacDonald (1873-1932), and Frederick Varley (1881-1969). Later, A. J. Casson (1898-1992) was invited to join in 1926; Edwin Holgate (1892-1977) became a member in 1930; and LeMoine FitzGerald (1890-1956) joined in 1932.Two artists commonly associated with the group are Tom Thomson (1877-1917) and Emily Carr (1871-1945). Although he died before its official Patternion, Thomson had a significant influence on the group. In his essay "The Story of the Group of Seven", Harris wrote that Thomson was "a part of the movement before we pinned a label on it"; Thomson's paintings "The West Wind" and "The Jack Pine" are two of the group's most iconic pieces. Emily Carr was also closely associated with the Group of Seven, though was never an official member.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1003/2254/files/01a14x12ajCassonnasturtiumsSTITCHED_2acd6124-4a8a-4cb1-9fac-33a9f45b760e.jpg?v=1768000490
asian-geisha-on-shopping-trip-counted-cross-stitch-digital
Asian Geisha On Shopping Trip by Japanese Artist Hasui Kawase Counted Cross Stitch Pattern DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. Oscar Claude Monet 1840 - 1926, was a founder of French impressionist painting, and the most consistent and prolific practitioner of the movement's philosophy of expressing one's perceptions before nature, especially as applied to plein-air landscape painting. The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant). Painting outdoors, he broke the tradition of portraying a subject literally by conveying the fleeting effects of atmosphere, time of day, and season upon color and light. Eliminating black and gray from his palette, he represented natural color like a prism, breaking it down into its individual components, often painting a series of the exact same view under different light and weather conditions. Monet brought the study of the transient effects of natural light to its most refined expression, ultimately becoming a forerunner of 20th century modernism.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1003/2254/files/15x11Impressionist_Monet_s_Blooming_Garden_Iris_FlowersSTITCHED_fb849b67-e3ce-434c-a74d-523ba46df48e.jpg?v=1768000493
pandora-peaks-into-her-box-inspired-by-john-william-waterhouse-counted-cross-stitch-digital
Pandora Peaks into Her Box inspired by John William Waterhouse Counted Cross Stitch Pattern DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. The tapestries show a group of noblemen and hunters in pursuit of a unicorn. The Hunt for the Unicorn was a common theme in late medieval and renaissance works of art and literature. The tapestries were woven in wool, metallic threads, and silk. The vibrant colors are evident even today. The colors were produced from dye plants: weld (yellow), madder (red), and woad (blue). Milne, published in 1926. Milne wrote the episodic stories of Winnie-the-Pooh and its sequel, The House at Pooh Corner (1928), for his young son, Christopher Robin, whose toy animals were the basis for many of the characters and whose name was used for the young boy who appears in the tales as the benign master of the animals.

The main character, Winnie-the-Pooh (sometimes simply called Pooh or Edward Bear), is a good-natured, yellow-furred, honey-loving bear who lives in the Forest surrounding the Hundred Acre Wood (modeled after Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, England). Klimt's work is often distinguished by elegant gold or colored decoration, spirals and swirls, and phallic shapes used to conceal the more erotic positions of the drawings upon which many of his paintings are based. This can be seen in Judith I (1901), and in The Kiss (1907-1908), and especially in Dana (1907). There, he taught at the Bauhaus school of art and architecture from 1922 until the Nazis closed it in 1933. His identification of the birds now nicknamed "Darwin's finches" played a role in the inception of Darwin's theory of evolution by natural selection. Gould's work is referenced in Charles Darwin's book, On the Origin of Species.

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. After years of painful anxiety and frequent bouts of mental illness, he died at the age of 37 from a gunshot wound, generally accepted to be self-inflicted (although no gun was ever found). His work was then known to only a handful of people and appreciated by fewer still. Following his first exhibitions in the late 1880s, van Gogh's fame grew steadily among colleagues, art critics, dealers and collectors. After his death, memorial exhibitions were mounted in Brussels, Paris, The Hague and Antwerp. In the early 20th century, there were retrospectives in Paris (1901 and 1905), and Amsterdam (1905), and important group exhibitions in Cologne (1912), New York (1913) and Berlin (1914). These had a noticeable impact on later generations of artists. By the mid 20th century van Gogh was seen as one of the greatest and most recognizable painters in history. In 2007 a group of Dutch historians compiled the "Canon of Dutch History" to be taught in schools and included van Gogh as one of the fifty topics of the canon, alongside other national icons such as Rembrandt and De Stijl. Together with those of Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh's works are among the world's most expensive paintings ever sold, as estimated from auctions and private sales.

Pre-Raphaelite Florence Harrison Rainbow Ghost Fairy PDF Counted Cross Stitch Pattern DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. His major works include paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. He is credited with painting sone of the first purely abstract works. Born in Moscow, Kandinsky spent his childhood in Odessa, where he graduated at Grekov Odessa Art School. He enrolled at the University of Moscow, studying law and economics. Successful in his profession he was offered a professorship (chair of Roman Law) at the University of Dorpat. Kandinsky began painting studies (life-drawing, sketching and anatomy) at the age of 30. In 1896 Kandinsky settled in Munich, studying first at Anton Abe's private school and then at the Academy of Fine Arts. He returned to Moscow in 1914, after the outbreak of World War I. Kandinsky was unsympathetic to the official theories on art in Communist Moscow, and returned to Germany in 1921. There, he taught at the Bauhaus school of art and architecture from 1922 until the Nazis closed it in 1933. He then moved to France, where he lived for the rest of his life, becoming a French citizen in 1939 and producing some of his most prominent art. Knowing little about stained glass, he went to Germany to seek craftsmen to assist him. While there he was deeply influenced by the sharply detailed paintings of various German and Flemish masters of the 16th century. In 1934 Wood was made assistant professor of fine arts at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. Impressionism originated with a group of Paris-based artists whose independent exhibitions brought them to prominence during the 1870s and 1880s. The Impressionists faced harsh opposition from the conventional art community in France. The name of the style derives from the title of a Claude Monet work, Impression, soleil levant (Impression, Sunrise), which provoked the critic Louis Leroy to coin the term in a satirical 1874 review of the First Impressionist Exhibition published in the Parisian newspaper Le Charivari. The development of Impressionism in the visual arts was soon followed by analogous styles in other media that became known as Impressionist music and Impressionist literature.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1003/2254/files/01a12x15_bouquet-of-gladiolas-lilies-and-daisies-by-claude-monet-STITCHED_aa4b333b-46fe-4997-b807-8ef75d82fc74.jpg?v=1773251673
art-nouveau-gustav-klimt-portrait-of-golden-woman-counted-cross-stitch-digital
Art Nouveau Gustav Klimt Portrait of Golden Woman Counted Cross Stitch Pattern DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. His major works include paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. It tells the story of a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world populated by peculiar and anthropomorphic creatures. The tale is filled with allusions to Dodgson's friends.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1003/2254/products/14x14Impressionist_Vincent_Van_Gogh_s_Almond_Branches.jpg?v=1599025969
the-showgirl-by-erte-counted-cross-stitch-chart-digital
The Showgirl By Erte Counted Cross Stitch Chart DIGITAL DOWNLOAD

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN. His major works include paintings, murals, sketches, and other art objects. Klimt's primary subject was the female body. One of the most common themes Klimt used was that of the dominant woman, the femme fatale.

This product is a Digital Download of a COUNTED CROSS STITCH PATTERN.
